Long ago, before the Second Eclipse, there was a young man from the Falcon Empire who, turned off by the hypocrisy of the Church of Elrath, travelled the world to study the dragon gods. In every land, he was either turned away or left out of disgust for their culture. Eventually, he came to the Seven Cities to study Asha and her cult. The final straw came when one of the Necromancers - allegedly Asha's mortal envoys, like the Angels or Inquisitors of Elrath - callously ripped out a man's soul to bind it to a ghoul, forever removing him from Asha's cycle. A hypocrite like the rest and an act he could never forgive.
Disgusted and enraged by all the gods and their followers, he felt like the world needed to be purged in blood. Then he remembered the one god he had ignored: Urgash. His goals were not far removed from what the demons sought. Once he realized that selling his soul also meant that necromancers couldn't abuse his soul like that ghoul's, the choice was easy.
Ever since, Kimarous (as he now calls himself) bides his time to go forth with his armies to purge Ashan of the hypocrites he despises so. In the interim, he enjoys the perks of being a demonic general: immortality, attractive concubines, and aesthetically pleasing minions.
