lol even lamasu and spider are less retarded as Strider. How could somebody wipe out dungeon so much?
4/8 units recycled!
2/8 units look epic (minotaur,hydra)
2/8 doesnt match Heroes at all
2/3 cores are flamboyant humans
1/3 units looks like elite
Black Dragon is bitting butterfly!!!
Flamboyant - that is a correct word to describe Sylvan elfs, too.
Youre right but from elves its bit expected they wouldnt be somehow original but dancing flowerlovers. Whole idea of dark elves instead of dungeon is sick.
No, they are not. :P
Well they also could have seperated the DElfs and Dungeon and make something cool out of it. But i wonder if they are actually capable with this art style and graphics to make something cool. I only have seen some decent things (and some of them i like, but they are not "good").
Redo the Medusa. We voted for a real one and not a coral priestess.
You do realise that in this universe the Medusas are Coral and Pearl Priestesses that have turned from Shalassa and turned to Malassa, right? It makes sense that they look similar, though some things could be changed.
That isn't going to sway people who could care less for this lore development, like myself. I don't like the Medusa as implemented, either. Why they had to include a female unit from another faction, when they could have just created a dual form shadow matriarch is beyond me.
1. The Medusa are related to the Coral Priestesses. They had a falling out and serve Malassa now.
2. They're only similar to the Coral Priestess. Not a copy exactly.
3. When are people going to take responsibility and admit they voted poorly?
As person who voted for this lineup i got idea whit word its not the final art, if some didnt bother to read is that thier foult, i have only one issue its troglodyte where is his burrow ability/movement
Pointless. Dungeon is beyond redemption now.
I'm conflicted. I do love this hero's look, and the stalker, but precious little else. I guess I like the Medusa's ability to move and shoot. Beyond that, this is just the same bland templates with a nice fresh paint. What do you dislike about Dungeon out of curiosity? I loved V's and had no special liking for VIs. I feel the same way now towards it. I might just stick to Academy and Sylvan if I end up buying the game.

Look how bad it looks. Also the combat looks really bad. Ppl already said battle would probably be like dancing your army around, and it seems they were right. I really don't have a good feeling about this.
Stop making "Assasins Creed"! Give money to "Might and Magic"!
These are gold words, man. However, Ubisoft doesn't appreciate them...
Hmm... It makes no sense for them. With mount of money or bucket of it. Approach to the matter with mind and heart is above all...
While I agree with the sentiment, the "Assassin's Creed" stuff sells big and Might and Magic doesn't. Might and Magic sells enough to justify its existence but is not a blockbuster, multi-platform game.
Might and Magic games would do much better with better budgets and better promotions and an ever expanding universe still grounded in great game play and story telling, but you'll never convince the suits that have control over the purse strings.
Be grateful we still get these games.
"Be grateful we still get these games"
Frankly when I see what it has become I'm not even sure anymore.
GalaadleHaut, but if Ubi doesn't produce an existence of the series, how HOMM (this abbreviation refers to H6 and H7, ok?) is going to not become history? With the aid of enthusiasts, fans? So we, the community of HOMM, must band together and create our own studio for the benefit of the series;) Or rely on some other studio(s)...
Yeah i agree, they already condemned this game even before they started working on it. With the way they aproached this game. Saying that the fanbase is too small (without even a real good basis to go with that, and no H6 was not a good basis to go with) and giving it limitations. Then you know things will turn out not that good.
Ubi has released multiple big cash games (mostly due to overhyping) and knows how to do things. But they forget to apply them to this game apperently.
Ubisoft we buy your game if:
1. New model and animations for black dragon.
2. New model and animations for medusa.
3. Dig Lamasu and add new creature
http://i.imgur.com/Ie8L70s.jpg <--- something like Bloodsucker or Abomination.
In expansions: Inferno, Sanctuary, Fortress -> WITH NO COPY MODELS.
STOP SAVE MONEY ON THIS GAME UBISOFT!!!
4. Change specializations per level. Make them many, each unique.
First of all, they should fix the gameplay.
5. Change the almost the same spells with different names, but same effect/function.
6. Make each faction uniqe. Give them different abilities for different skills - at least some of them.
7. Include alternative upgrades with new abilities.
Too bad. It's beyond your capabilities.
@merenefere1282 - EXACTLY ;)
8. Make a smart AI.
@ClassicHeroes I'm glad that you like MINE graphic ! ;)
Could you please delay the game to improve and properly finished it?
If not, I doubt this game can be much marketing successful.
I would love a delay if i see infernal or dwarf as a new race:D
Four out of eight Dungeon units have exact same model as HVI ones. We were deceived by developers during line-up voting. Shame on you Ubilimbic. Change Medusa model now!
How can a developer who is a long term fan could create such heroes? Take Heroes VI, for instance? This is not even possible.
It is like. They do improve Heroes VI, literally. Not Homm series. They burned Homm a long time ago. What they do now is improving their beautiful invention H6. Crap!!
Classes wonderful as always ^^
It was such a good idea to create 6 of them and restrict available skills and their max levels
Ubisoft - are you kidding us?
CHANGE MODEL AND ANIMATION OF BLACK DRAGON! Because:
1. Dragon is not butterfly.
2. Dragon is massive not skinny
3. Dragon breathes fire not bite
4. We don't buy your game, beacuse you want save money on best series in history.
13 days can't go fast enough.
1. I'm looking forward to Beta 2, anticipating a good deal of improvements from the 1st.
2. In the vacuum of nothing to play, the complaining around here has gotten to be tiresome. Honestly, if indeed you're of the mind that you're assuming the worst at every turn, announcement, video, pick and so on, what possible purpose could you serve but to be so full of sound and fury but signifying nothing (to borrow a phrase)?
I am sorry, a lot of things don't look and feel good, coupled with the things they said and have done. And then they ask €50,- for this. While this looks more like a low budget game.
Yours was one of the more honest statements I've read here because you're admitting your position is subjective and a product of hopes based on assumptions having been dashed.
I expect that certain elements of this game will leave a lot to be desired, but assuming the game works this time and equally importantly, the editor, I also expect to enjoy it for quite some time.
"Remember, expect nothing and life will be velvet." -- Lisa Gardiner.
Medusa is shameful copy of coral priestess from HVI. Shame on you developers for hiding that from us during the vote. Redo Medusa!!!
"мы следим за тобой, ничтожество" (с)
Considering you also used 3rd party game engine for this, ye there isnt really much of your work visible. Many creatures coppied from H6, some are new (strider, deer which popularity is somewhat lacking), 2D townscreens, trash hero specialisations, trash "skillwheel", trash spellsystem and hero classes. Game surely feels very cheap, almost notexistant design effort smells all over it. heroes game doesnt deserve this kind of treatment.
People have to "beg" for some features, lol.
Beg? We have to drive ourselves insane you mean.
I would argue that a certain percentage of creatures SHOULD be copies of or at least very similar to the H6 and even H5 models. We're talking about a couple hundred years of evolution, not thousands. Would creatures change that much over time? No. That's silly.
Factions would. Allies come and go. Philosophies change. But basic "looks" don't (excepting the fashion of outerwear).
But that is the point broui. The things you mention is not really happening here. And no just adding different colour is not a good change. They did copy some units from H2 to H3, but the graphic style was so different that the creatures looked different, and together with improving things they felt different too. Now everything feels like it is just copy pasted from H6 with some new colours added. Even the graphics look the same with some small updates (yeah i know same engine).
There should be no excuse, especially not when they ask €50,- for it.
Also making sequels should not be underestimated. You always have to remind yourself what could bring back that succes. And Ubi already failed that with H6. And now they do it the same with H7 by creating the same mistakes and reusing things from H6. Wich was advised by a lot of ppl not to do.
They won't fix anything we're asking them to fix simply because they don't see anything wrong with it, this game they're advertising using HoMM legacy and describing as 'back to the roots' is just an improved H6. My favourite article <https://mmh7.ubi.com/pl/blog/post/view/skillwheel-the-design-philosophy>
stands proof to it.
You want more ? Think about all things that were criticised in H6, that we told them we don't want back and surprise, surprise here they are.
* skill system? check -skilltrees were incorporated into a pizza-like structure to resemble H5 skillwheel but still work the same as in H6; random added only as afterthought
* magic? check - all useless 7 magic schools are back with perfectly 'balanced' spells that make them all the same
* little difference between creature tiers? check - gamesom presentations and beta prove it well enough, a pack of cores can easily kill a champion
* areas of control? check
* reused creature models? check - vamp and lich as the only exceptions were changed only after weeks of spamming, raging and flooding below every article
And what about new things they added to the game?
* flanking system - enjoy running around the battlefield just to score the flanking bonus
* creature abilities - yep, H6 had ridiculous abilityfest so now there are fewer abilities and shared by multiple creatures
* hero specializations - yes they are back, yay! now can even boost creature growth. Goodbye bad unbalanced specializations that influence creatures' efficiency in battle or give hero special ability
* hero classes - joy of joys, now you don't need to worry about planning hero build - Ubi did it for you ^^
To make it a copy of H5? Why should I buy this game, if it has the same gameplay, as H5?
@Shukfir So you are saying you never bought a previous Heroes game because it had simular gameplay?
H5 and H3 have a lot in common, that is also the reason why ppl like it.
Why is Ubisoft so eager to change the formula, when most ppl don't even want that?
Like i already have said many times now. If Ubi wants to change so much on this series they should have created a new IP. And not change the core of a series.
Also if it is an indie game, more things are tolerated. But when you ask €50,- for a game i consider it a big game and you'll have certain things you need to do in order to even be considered good for such a price tag.
How can they even ask 50 euros for a game that has so many flaws and uses so many assets from previous game people hated so much. It's shameful.
Mereneferene they were pre-selling this game for 15e during summersale and I think it would have been reasonable price. I mean this game barely feels new, more like expansion to h6 so the price was realistic. I doubt most people would be willing to pay over 20e for this game with so much reused from h6. They lower cost that way, but I paid for those models in h6 already so that should greatly show in this games price. Might as well have done a real expansion to h6 so they could've done more.
That was an error or mistake, I think. But at least the price correct. Someone knew what was doing, lol.
