Well, I saw somebody who said that dragon is bad, because it's a ,,green Kirin". I don't see any similarities with Kirin, so that's totally unreasonable complaining. And complaining without reason is very close to hating.

But he didn't say it looks like a pig, he says it looks like a Kirin. I strongly disagree with you here. All I see is that you both have a different opinion about some artwork, which is subjective therefore by definition irrational.

On the other hand, if I say for instance that past games had a Sword & Sorcery looks while Ashan has a High Fantasy one, I can objectively say they are both different. And it is true. Which one I personally prefer is not the point.

Look, if someone finds something awful for HIS taste, there is nothing you can do about it. For instance, someone can think Van Gogh paintings are awful, does it means he hates Van Gogh? Of course not. I understand no one likes to read negative comments, but you cannot condemns other people opinions, unless you are being an intolerant jerk. IMHO

In my pinion the Treant has best design from all ive seen here. Dragon, well it reminds me treant but the design is original and well done, so why not. I dont like any elven unit in this line up. Blade Dancer is great dissapointment and hunter with druid are bit too colourful for ones who go to battle and cliche. Dryad is great imho, only bad thing that it reminds me djinn too much, but its only artwork and pixie, well, bit too much flamboyant but beautiful. I dont like the idea of spliting them

I think it should have been named differently. Everybody has the image of a majestic Green Dragon in his/her mind. To me this dragon has more or less a earth elemental feeling.

These Dragons do look majestic, especially Emerald Dragons. Wingless dragons are present in legends and popculture but they are simply outnumbered by dragons with wings. Even Heroes III had its own wingless dragons (Crystal Dragons).

First, the Dragon. It's gorgeous IMHO. I was worried that it would be like Sylanna. But this one has more (or less) feature to make them quite different. Second, the upgrade has a crystal as its scale. Nice touch, I can imagine the full 3D render would be great, the scale will faintly shine when exposed to light.

Second, the Treant, I was worried it would be what a stereotype Tree-man would be. But this one is unique in its own way, for a good reason. It has "Bark Tail" and looks formidable, I was worried it wouldn't live up to champion title, but I guessed I'm wrong :) I like this, even though I don't really fond of Tree Hugging faction, I hope either Sanctuary or Inferno in the expansion. Can't wait to see the full rendered 3D and animation

Indeed it would. I see this as an attempt to revive the old sorcerrer feel, which is I would like (thats why I love pixi so much) but together with this lineup (no unicorn, no phonix ?) and with so over the top indians aka elves it doesn´t fit as a whole.

I would prefer phoenix + dragons as champions and treant as elite instead of deers or blade dancers. One of these could substitute for pixies.

Well... I like them!

In H5 the sylvan dragons and dungeon dragons were almost the same... and this looks like reasonable change..

And treants are magnificient no discussion about this one.

I still mourn the fact that balance wasn't the winning one. It would be awesome! But Fury is final and we got to make the best of it. Core is good, elite flawed in every possible way, champ is great! I hope that 3D models will be pleasing and interesting. :)

I agree with You, but saying that elite is good but flawed is huge understatment. Sun deer is good, rest of elites are at most repulsive. They should bin that and start over with design.

I mean... why all the hate, isn't this just because he doesn't have a coil on his face ?

I think everything is interesting in him, starting from his clothing which looks definitly celtic with feather to imitate native americans culture.
His posture, low and blades held high is actually much more practical for fighting. And his face with his smirk give an aura of confidence/arrogance which I like to see with elves.

You can find male druids which looks 1000 times better than female what developers present. Problem is that developer decided to push inferior female unit only because it is female because they need to fill the quota of female units in the game and they will do that no mather what. That is the problem! This girl unit even dont fit to main idea. Her name is ELDER DRUID! Does she looks ELDER? No! She looks like 19 y.o. This is nosense. They decided to push female version even it is crap!

I like dancers too. They aren't perfect, but they have style. So I count them as one of the best units.

@krayz1e: Careful, you're walking in Jeremiah territory here with all this talk of druid genders and quotas.
Elder druid should really look older though, I think some artists have this problem where they struggle to draw older or non-attractive women (hence Ishi and Anga the 'orcs'). Hopefully she'll look older in the model?

Hmm, agree with almost everthing, but would give the druid(ess) 3/5, not because is female, I like that. But for the overall design, it could be better.
Dragon would be 4/5 (I like the concept, but it's not a real dragon. They could change the name)
Doe is 2/5, and sun deer 5/5
