I played exclusively offline and can't open the beta 2 game a big bold "expired" is stamped across the icon.

Hi, does anybody know, how to play beta version offline? Is this possible? I still have full set of files, but unfortunatedly, the game does not start anymore. Someone reported that its still possbile to play it in offline mode, but for me it does not work.

Possibly you would have had to start in offline mode before hand. Meaning, during the beta phase.
I guess at the end of the beta phase the file was modified so you cant start it anymore.
That is just guessing, although for me it seems plausible for I couldnt play Beta 1 and I can still play Beta 2 now (where I proceeded as described)

I especially would like to point a fact to people who think that Enroth is irrevocably lost. If any of you had played MM1-5, you would know that Enroth was not a usual planet, and in fact M&M series was not only about Magic - if you actually played the game and read its lore you would know that the name Might and Magic must be read as Science and Magic (obviously the devs picked different name for marketing purpose).

What I mean to say is that, there are lots of ways in which Enroth might be restored. First, by making a game in the same universe, but picking a different time (lets say 2 000 before the planed is destroyed); time travel is another valid alternative - as we remember Tarnum almost saved the planet if he only was able to stop Gelu / Krewlod before they met on the battlefield.

Or, which in my opinion, might be the best decision is to actually continue the plot of EU4 - since Enroth is destroyed - ok, but why did you forget about a huge world of Axeoth at all?

I am happy that after my last post (by coincide obviously) the devs released a few articles on past games, particularly HMM4, which in my opinion was always the best one (taking into account the decline of the company of course, and the fact that they had to cut a lot from the actual game).

Par contre, envoyer aux joueurs un mail leur demandant de répondre à des questions sur la béta d'heroes 7, pour enmenner sur un questionnaire qui est en fait principalement un sondage sur nos habitude de joueur (nom âge, type de jeu auxquels on joue, machines que l'on a chez nous, etc... j'ai quitté à la seconde page), je trouve ça lamentable.
Encore une fois ubisoft montre tout le mépris qu'il a pour ces joueurs en les prenant pour des billes!

Поиграл я в бетку и понял что Разработчики еще больше углубились в упрощение. Играл во все части и думаю в сумме не менее 1000 часов точно!
Юниты лишь чуть-чуть отличаются по силе. т.е нет радости от выкачивания нового война. Дерево умений скупое. Идея с прокачкой заклинаний аля 3 - очень хороша. но все равно уж слишком все похоже на 6-е, а они слабо удались...

Of course I still think that the game should be delayed and some things changed but I know it's not gonna happen.

Issues I had during beta 2 was, as mentioned further down the comments, that I could not see the units abilities outside of combat. Only the ability icon.
Other issues: The AI was slow, I couldn't play multiplayer, and my Sylvan hero started to run backwards while exploring.

Seriously enjoyed this game. it really takes me back to the old days, sometimes graphics updates are all that one really needs. The AI speed was in fact a turn off for me but I am glad to see that you are working on making it a non-issue. I look forward to buying the full version when it releases.

I think you guys are doing a great job. AI turns were crazy long so I'm glad to hear that is being addressed. One thing I found missing was the ability to in the town screen to see what advantage upgrading a unit gave you. You could see the little symbol for a new trait but I couldn't find a way to get a description of what trait was without upgrading the unit. Had issue with crashes after hero screen offered same hero twice (late game recruiting, 2 of the 3 heroes were the same character.)

you also need to add in that covering behind obstacles provide a defense bonus against ranged attacks.. that was nowhere to be seen... and om towns when you are looking at the hire creature dwelling it would be nice to have an animation of how it looks like next to it, and it would also be nice to be able to scroll over their abilities to read what they do in this same screen...
and for crying out loud make the Academy Golem creature bigger.. it looks smaller than the Cabir.

the worst part of the Beta was waiting for the AI to take its turn... fix that immediately.. also spell animations are beyond depressingly bad.. we need more flash and lights... and some spells need redesign... Regeneration being the main concern... it doesn't ressurect (heal) the fallen stack of creatures, but Heal does?... what kind of horse shit is that?... if i cast Regeneration on my pixie i expect it to at least beat the horrible healing of the healing tent... also boost mothertree/dryad.

I enjoyed the game but waiting of the AI player parts took so long that I eventually get bored and give up the map before finishing it. I also agree about there should b more special moves for the units. I also miss the skill map of HOMMV in which you could choose which type of magic and skills you can choose for your hero I don't like it when game chooses it for you(I m not sure if it would be in game or I failed to find but I hope there should be converting towns and teleporting between towns)

Just my two cents regarding multiplayer combat view. I think if it is enabled it would be best if rather than force the player to watch the battle, like in closed beta two, a open a popup with the option to view the battle or continue whatever the player is doing. This means that in friendly games we can still watch battles give of whatever if we are done our turn or continue playing our turn if we want to.

I think this would be a huge improvement as i would like the ability to show my friends a really good battle but i don't think we are interested in watching every mine/sawmill battle at the start.
