We are sure that you have no chance to finish the game until September if you want to improve all the mistakes and bugs. But please, give us the game with high quality, so delay it! If you tell us now, we will accept it much better then in September.
I rather have a perfect X-mass than a wasted september.

it seems all big publishers push for a release date instead a finished game. that's a shame
A delay is inevitable, the question is will they dare to push far enough to take care of at least things already known and reported during this beta round.
Dear Ubi, please, understand that we really don´t want the game in september if it will have as "high" quality as H6 had. Don´t make the same mistake twice, you could lose your fans (and buyers) forever...
im full agreement with delay request. quality what matters, i liked this game but an early realese may kill the full potential. game still needs serious love & time.
Le jeu est sympa même s'il y a encore des bugs mais 3 mois semblent vraiment court pour donner toutes les chances à ce jeu.
Points positifs :
- Les arbres technologiques vraiment diversifiés et demandant plusieurs choix
- Les roues de compétences sont plutôt bonnes et offre là aussi des choix à faire (je n'ai pas encore essayé le mode aléatoire)
- Le gameplay dans son ensemble est sympathique
- La bande-son est sympa
- Les écrans de ville sont chatoyants même s'il manque un peu de vie
Points à corriger :
- Les graphismes de la carte d'aventure sont ternes et il y a un problème d'échelle (le château est vraiment minuscule et les éléments à dropper ne sont pas assez lisibles)
- Le sous-sol n'est pas vraiment lisibles
- Les compétences de gouverneur ne semblent pas fonctionner (Théodorus n'a pas ajouté de nouveaux apprentis, ou alors je n'ai pas compris sa spécialité)
Points à améliorer :
- L'interface dans sa globalité : les boutons sont plaqués par dessous le jeu et font "tâche", le pire était la configuration de la carte avec le choix du héros principal (juste le nom sans connaitre sa spécialité ni sa classe est vraiment difficile)
Points à améliorer :
- Les déplacements sur la carte sont lents à vitesse normale et très saccadées si la vitesse est augmentée
- Les animations (surtout des créatures volantes) lors des combats sont drôles à voir...
- L'interface de recrutement est sans saveur, pourquoi ne pas rajouter le descriptif de la créature sélectionnée ainsi que ses compétences
Points à améliorer :
- La police choisie n'est pas très lisible lors de l'affichage du bilan du combat
- Mémoriser les emplacements choisis lors du début d'un combat pour le combat suivant
- Dans le descriptif des bâtiments, il serait intéressant d'ajouter le nombre de créatures produites
- Les héros ont perdu leur biographie...
- Si l'emplacement de l'artefact droppé est libre, pourquoi ne pas l'équiper directement

It's a broken mechanics, that made Heroes 6 even more boring. Do not repeat the mistake.
Heal should not ressurect creatures. You can increase it's effect and decrease mana cost. But remove ressurection.
Cabirs should not ressurect constructs. They can "heal" them up to maximum health and that's enough.
Fix it, until it's not too late.
i dont agree, those are fine, in fact, i even want regeneration to ressurect stacks too. after good balance/fix, final values can make game much better then currently it is now.
The healing mechanics in Heroes VI were by far the most boring ones. In single player games you could (even in hard difficulty) win almost every fight without losing any units...
The more i play this game the more i like it ! The particle effects are amazing thanks to unreal engine :)
Most of the 3D Unit Models are great ! I only didn't like the djinn and the rakshasa. I love their 2D Artwork but the 3D Models don't look like i thought they would.
I am still not sure about the colors of this game. Everything looks pretty realistic with realistic colors. I am not used to this yet. And i didn't like the cloud shadow. There should be an option to deactive them.
And i think cabir are a little too big and golems too small. Mages are also pretty big. On the Line Up Artwork they have better proportions. The "kamehameha" attack of the titan is also pretty weird :D I am not sure if i like that attack animation ^^
And it would be cool if you could zoom in more.
I like the new town screens. Way better than Heroes 6. But it's a strange change from realistic 3D graphics to 2D painted colorful Artworks. The townscreens could also have a more realistic look.

Horrible scheme (interface) working with artifacts: displayed boxes around a Hero model...
In HoMM4 - was perfect scheme working with artifacts..please consider to implement in such way...
Artifacts are fine and simple, sure its not as pretty as it could be but its straight forward enough and fits with the skill tree GUI, but yeah that was probably the only good thing about Heroes 4. XD

Please, change 3 movement points cost for picking resources and artefacts back to 1.
You can still leave 3 points cost when visiting important buildings. But resources... That was bad idea. Now I need either to spend 2 skillpoints for Exploration skill and Snatch ability for every hero, or to hire an additional hero only just for picking resources. That's boring.
no, its a good idea, i unerstand your frustration but its not connected to new movement rules, its connected to map structure. its too big and empty for such movements. picking up something/visiting building taking 3 points makes very sense and adds some taste in it, its just the bad connection between map&movement.
think it like this: will you ride your horse to exploration, or will you stop and pick up some goods? doing both of them is no brainer, new rules change that to make you a choice in various different situations. i really find it positive, although having not much map objects/interacts saddens me...
seriously so much focus on little things like this, but what about skill and magic systems?

Wow Cleglaw, you're trying very hard to put a positive spin on an awful feature.
So long as balancing does not mean weakening. If that's the case we might as well go back to Heroes 1.
Please keep in mind that remaining months efforts will be mainly focused on debuging, balancing and polishing. This is only a beta version and we are confident for september release with the fix of existing issues. Indeed as we say in the industy "developing is about creating bugs, last months are about deleting them" :)
But they are too many. And also graphic quality is on very low level in compare to h6 or h5 or even screenshots and we have no idea why. And also balance... To much work for 3 months.
We still remember H6 release, no wonder we are worried. Did you at least finish all remaining factions, so you can fully concentrate on fixing bugs and balancing now ?
I am confident in the dedication of the team, but release in September seems to be impossible if you want to release a game that is great from the start. Please look back at what happened with H6. When it finally worked, most players were gone and the game was killed. thanks for all the hard work!

Not that it is a bug, but you REALLY NEED to increase the size of everything. Don't jam too much on one screen as I DID require a magnifine glass to see anything on the computer that was 6 inches from my face!! have a look at H5. Now have another look, because that is the size of interface that in necessary. I complain in H6 about buttons that were 50 px x 50 px. Well I can honestly say you guys have not made these buttons 50x50. Instead, you went with a more traditional 25 px x 35 px for button

+AI is really depressingly dumb and broken
+Game needs some tweaks and adds, not just fixes. and with those, im not talking about regular complaints, please check my post at HC, it gets longer and longer, consisting things like governing experience+second level 4 magic guild spell.
+Skill system has some abilities to be reworked rather then fix.
+Map-movement doesnt match good, smaller maps or higher movespeed(not 22 but at least 30)
+There are tons of other thing people posted aswell

I have no idea how are they going to finish the game by the end of September. Are they going to hire twice as many people to accomplish that?
High difficulty level is also broken and totally unbalanced. Before I get any army or skills, neutral creatures are in thousands - they destroy the whole army that I have been collecting for the whole game in just 2-3 turns with one hit.
Difficulty beyond impossible.
On Heroic you can't win any battles becasue from the start neutrals are deadly - later they will always outnumber you in thousands - each one on the map. If you have collected around 150 cabirs, they will have over a thousand etc.
The same thing happens on high difficutlty with obvious slight differences - at the beginning you have a little bit more space and you can win a few small battles. That's it. These two levels are not playable. You can't move or attack anyone whatever you do. I was just building a town in vain.
It is ridicilous.

lol thats weird sounds really bad, i guess you should just stay away from hard and heroic level then
they are gonna fix this for sure... but how about the normal lvl?(neutral grownth, AI etc)
@ merenefere1282 : that dificulty was also problem in H4 where on impossible you had to fight with initial hero unreal army just to conquer ore mine. Impossible shouldnt really be "impossible". Scaling up neutral armies isnt proper way how to increase difficulty, especially when there is lvl cap and all that exp gathered from defeating them will be wasted.
I have also played on normal difficulty now and it is very easy. I blow everthing up (the same map, the same hero). It is even easer with depressingly dumb and broken AI that runs away from me while leaving his town full of creatures. After many, many weeks Edric had level 5 and I was level 12 on the small map. He left tons of creatures in town as if they didn't existed and when I approached to his/town, he run away leaving the town without any hero. Dumb.
During the battles the AI is also weak. It doesn't block or attack ranged units at all etc. Generally, the AI is broken at the moment.
@logical.dust. I can remember that I always went through H4 on the highest difficulty level and I managed to win every battle sooner or later.
In general H4 or H5, even H6 AI is way better. But how can you compare it if it's broken here.

@Nox: medic said that H7 isn't in the Uplay/Steam library, so there's going to be no launching there I'm afraid. Or does the 'giver' have to redeem the code?

hello, i gave my extra key to my brother, he nstalled mmh7 beta used his key, and then he logged in with uplay, and uplay asked a code. we tried our extra key/code whatever, but it didnt accepted it. what to do now? isnt this a bit wierd? how can we solve this?
can we get another beta phase, including optimization later? i believe many people are playing on very low settings, and i think testing process should also include games with higher options & optimisation testing. do you have any idea about this? is possible to get another version of beta later on?
btw i also think this beta is mainly focusing on current 2 factions, and with those 2 factions not every content is open to balance or comment on and we need others to test too.
Let´s move the release on 2016 and put another beta on September instead.
I agree, I'd like to test the other factions as well before seeing the full game being released. However, most of the bugs we now encounter are not always faction-specific, but more general in kind. Playing with Stronghold here would probably have made little difference. We're talking about animation issues, spell balancing etc. Of course, said animations could also be broken in the case of Sylvan and what not, but Nox said they're working on those all through the remaining months.
First rework interface, animations, graphics on map.
Then balance spells and skills
then fine tune maps and other stuff.

Also the graphics in the game even using the highest quality is not as good as in h6 or h5 so it really needs to be improved. On screenshots it looked much better!

Video settings all on low, and still it's slow. Hey, good rhyme. I guess I won't be playing more Beta, because it really breaks everything. Combined with the very annoying widescreen-bug I just don't feel like playing anymore. On the bright side, I have a whole list of things that are broken, need reworking, etc.

there are some bugs, but i think the system requirements is a bigger problem. all low, its still doesnt help much, although options seems very detailed, it doesnt really make much difference to my case. system needs are a bit too high :/

I wonder how slow it was before they fixed all those memory bugs. Indeed if they actually really fixed them as they say. Did you observe memory/cpu utilisaiton while you play? Maybe game doesnt properly use more cores of cpu. What is your system specs?
Everything runs great and looks great on my comp, you may just need a better comp :(
