Lich

Higher ranking Necromancers are given a life-prolonging elixir that is milked from the venom of the Goddess's sacred spiders. This "treatment" turns them into Asakkus, or "Liches", their bodies desiccated but now freed from the passions of the flesh. They keep aging however, until they look little more than walking mummies… The venom mixture also colours their whole eyes bright green.

Kaspar's Comment

“The Inquisition would tell you Liches are evil sorcerers who are twisting the laws of nature for their own gain. Yet I am a Lich myself, and it is the desire to have the time needed to comprehend the wonders and mysteries of Asha’s creation, to become a better healer, that drove me to choose Undeath.”

Undead

Undead are immune to poison, mind effects, fear, and morale effects. Negative light spells are more effective on the creature while supportive spells won't affect it, except for healing spells that damage it instead of healing it.

Archlich

Archliches are given this title when they have continued "living" beyond what their physical shell would have normally permitted. Though this passage might seem arbitrary, it is not, for a Lich feels the moment pass when death should have come. Archliches gain comprehension of greater powers, some which can be used to sap the lifeforce of living creatures.

Kaspar's Comment

“…That said, power-hungry Liches and Archliches definitely exist. Sandro, the so-called ‘Great Lich’, comes to mind. But he has rejected the ways of the Spider Goddess in favour of another source of power. What he has become might be much more dangerous than anything found in Heresh. Would I call him ‘evil’, though? Good and evil are such Elrathian concepts…”

Hex of Disruption

Archliches can cast bolts that explode in a burst of Dark Magic, reducing the defense of all targets in the area.
