Red Dragon

Red Dragons are the avatars of Arkath, the Dragon of Fire and patron god of the Dwarves. These majestic, fire-breathing creatures are the guardians of Grimheim, capable of reducing the enemies of the Dwarves to a pile of smoking ash.

Kaspar's Comment

Dwarves are very respectful of Arkath and his clutch. Forges, shrines, and hearths usually have a small object to the left of the doorway – the side of the heart – that symbolizes the presence of the Dragon. Dwarves will ritually touch these upon entering and leaving these places.

Immune to Fire

Fire damage and negative effects of Fire spells do not have an effect on this creature. Fire damage dealt by creatures is reduced by 50%.

Fire Breath

The creature's attack hits an arc in front. All enemy creatures with at least one tile in the affected area take the full effect of the attack.

Ardent Dragon

"Deep down in the bowels of the earth, the incandescent heat of the bubbling lava lakes serve as the breeding ground for the Ardent Dragons. Rarely seen on the surface, these Fire Dragons are considered one of the most beautiful creatures of Ashan. Their entire body is made of translucent red crystal, revealing the fiery heart beating within.

Kaspar's Comment

Dwarven artwork is not representational, but rather geometric, or even abstract. Arkath, in particular, is never shown in its true form. But when you see Ardent Dragons, you realize it would be hard for any artist to do them justice anyway.

Trail of Fire

Every tile the creature moves through is set on fire, causing Fire damage to any creature standing on the affected tiles. The trail of fire lasts until the end of the next combat round.
