Fire Giant

For the Dwarves, each new volcanic eruption is an important event, an opportunity to pay tribute to their Dragon-God Arkath, and many warriors volunteer to throw themselves into the crater. The few Dwarves who survive the ordeal are fused with the elements of fire and stone. They are transformed into Fire Giants, colossal beings of basalt crackling with lava.

Kaspar's Comment

Becoming a Giant doesn’t change a Dwarf’s true nature. When not defending Grimheim from its enemies, Fire Giants are often found working in the great forges and foundries, crafting war machines and complex mechanisms.

Magma Blood

Whenever the creature gets Fire damage from any source it is healed by 75% that amount afterwards (does not resurrect).

Vulnerable to Water

Water damage is increased by 25% when used against this creature.

Einherjar

Einherjars are Arkath's chosen warriors, handpicked by the Valkyries on the fields of battle to be reforged by the Dragon's fiery breath into a great avatar of war. Becoming an Einherjar is the greatest achievement a Dwarf warrior can aspire to. It is also a short-lived one, as the Einherjar will eventually be consumed by the very fire that gives him his tremendous powers.

Kaspar's Comment

Dwarven epics last for hours, and they detail the deeds of so many heroes that even Dwarves have a hard time keeping track of them all. But Einherjars are always remembered by name, deed, and lineage.

Hammer of Arkath

Creatures and warfare units present on the tiles surrounding the target of the creature's melee attack (not retaliation) take 50% of the damage dealt, as Fire damage (including allies but not the creature itself).

Throwing Hammer

The creature performs a ranged attack (following the standard rules). The ability cannot be activated if an enemy creature is adjacent to the creature.
