That money that you all say, go to the people working for ubisoft. Some of them are responsible for the maintenance and the betterment of this website, as it mediates between fans and developers. Since the people for this website do their work and are getting paid, betterment of this platform is not money spent. Furthermore, this site will be active even after the game launches (+expansions) and will act as our feedback and our voice for tweaks, development and demands. Better spent money now.
Better made an official platform which could allow to take said feedback into consideration in a more realistic way in the first place lol

i agree with town screens but rest are total bullshits. i like where skill system going currently. it needs serious testing-balancing and thats all.
what you can want from them? what is logical to say?
*give more active abilities to creatures, to create unique line-ups.
*give better townscreens, sprecially for necro, and haven.
this game is nowhere like h6 remake, that part is total bullshit. oh, and spam.
skills are entirely different, factions are differen in both numbers and creatures.. tier system is a hybrid oh h3-h5-h6. spells are not 1 per level and we have magic guilds like pre h6 so WTF are you talking about?

I still see only H6, but that might be more of a artstyle problem for me. The art style (even those pictures for skills) remind me of H6 so much, that somehow it makes me think this is H6. Maybe it is some sort of pavlov reaction of me. But you can't disagree that ppl seeing similarities, even if it might be only the artstyle. At this point it is hard to look past that. I don't want to make excuses. But things could have been done differently for a lot of things.

Well besides that DoC does remind me of H6 sometimes the fact that you can clearly make out it is a card game is what makes the difference.
For H7 it's not just the artstyle, it is also the same engine and most of the visuals that looks like an updated H6. Nothing wrong with it if it looks good. But it does remind me of H6, and i call that not good, but that is my opinion. There are enough ppl who enjoyed H6. But to me it just give me a bad feeling.
This system can be deduced easily from the H6 one. Take H6 skill system, divide it in 36 fragments (skills), then give 10 out of 36 to every individual hero to place them on the "wheel". Add skill ranks, 1 racial, 3 mains with grandmasters - here, you have H7 system.
Now try to see H5 successor in it). Or H4, or any non-H6? To describe it as something based on H5 you will use the word "removed" alot, even if you can.
Like H6 it is a non-random system without cross or internal dependenses in its core. Nothing prevents you from taking all 6 abilities in a skill, or any combination of abilities you need within the rank system (cherrypicking).
For individual skills we have seen so far it is mixed. Warcries are designed new without reusing H6 ones. Air magic is 4/5 reused H6 spells, creature abilities, dynasty weapons or racial skills. Destiny (luck) is mixed, Righteousness is new.
Everywhere there is overabundance of that H6 mechanic of "attack/morale/spell power/other param is increased by X at condition Y or until condition Z". Makes you want more diverse skill mechanics.

i ll try it again politely: you have skills AND abilities.
you cant unlock skills like they are chain connected in h6, instead you have prerequisites to them, you have to choose at least 1 ability from previous ranks to continue on skill unlocking.
now do you understand that? H6 DOESNT HAVE ABILITIES BUT H7 HAS. h6 didnt had any prerequisites but h7 has. guess which game had those? h5.
and on spell topic, you obviously dont know what you are talking about. please go google previous heroes spells and then come back. h7 air magic spells are full of secondary effects and they are nothing like each other, they are very unique. and your second claim also a FAIL. because spells like cyclone was never before in any heroes game. you are only right about dynasty specilities being spells now, which is an awesome thing, i played h6 for 6 months, and i didnt even had access half of those.
would you rather having magic arrow/ice bolt/lightning bolt spells which are EXACTLY same of each other? or would rather have protection form bla bla spells that no-one even uses?

Thats what I refered to as "skill ranks". H6 does have abilities, they are mostly spells in magic, both actives and passives elsewhere. They aren't very much like the current - true, which does not prevent the current ones from being forced into a similar system with slightly different rules.
Now please, take your time to describe H7 system as the one based on H5, as you imply now
Looked it up - I have 209 hours of H6 played. Can spot H6 mechanics on the fly, lol. Ask away if you want me to elaborate on air magic rightly taken from there. I did already in the comments section of that article.

Ylath's Clairvoyance = Alma's eye pet's ability (Sandro campaign), not unique to H6 though
Storm Arrows = direct copy from H6
Gust of Wind = Monk's Tsunami from H6 (racial), also tidal wave active ability on Staff of the Tides
Cyclone = Thunderbird's Hurricane from H6 (skill used by the boss, not you)
Master of Air II = Storm Winds II and Thunderclap from H6
Lightning and chain lightning = same, not unique though
Storm Lord (grandmaster) = Sword of the Whistlebone active ability, thunderbird pet passive ability (Craig Hack campaign)

Now there is also Lightning Burst and Lightning Reflexes that seem to be H4 spells, sparks and Cat's reflex

People seem to not care any more. Or that this update actually is rather good news after the streak of disapointment so not much to add. I still think thou that to limit hero level is terrible way of imposing balance. Each skill should have its own development path (preferably linked also with others). Also they could easily add another perk per skill rank

Level cap in the current system is something to restrict your hero from taking ALL available subskills. A better idea is to raise it to ~35 but add diminishing returns, for max level to be very difficult to reach.
35 is enough
1) amount of skills/ levelling of skills are pre-selected and pre-restricted; 3 skills can reach GM, 3 can reach master and 4 to experts,
2) If you can't receive skill points after lv30, it will not affect the skill system.
levelling has nothing to do with skill system after 30, but levelling up may affect skill/spells output effects
Personally, I like rising level cap even if it does not affect any aspect of gameplay... just to see it grew :D
There are many variables that depend on hero level. Stats grow with level, hero normal attack damage grow with level. Infamous "X" in skill descriptions probably grow with level in many cases.
No cap can possibly lead to heroes with impossible stats, overpowered skills and killing dozen of champions with normal attack.
Developers, listen to our opinion or a vote. You do it rarely.
Isnt that point to make an overpowered hero? I always tried that, especialy in H5, that racial ultimates were quite a challenge.
I dont mean playing with just one superstrong as in H6. But i like that cruecial fights between two OP heroes. Im for bigger lvl cap, preferably like in H3/4.

Against the AI or with friends wall to wall arrange interesting on the big map , to pump as much as possible , interestingly !
Campaigns, Hot Seats and L-XL maps alone are the places where bigger cap is needed.

In H5 before you reach the cap there were no more skills and subskills to take cause all are locked. Level cap is useless unless you run out of digits.
