The town sceen still needs some improvements.
Cabir should be smaller.
The scale in the map needs changes, the hero and the creatures are too big in comparison with the buildings.
Everything else is good

Rather than making Cabir smaller, the other units need to get bigger. At least we can see the Cabir, unlike the other units, that can hardly be distinguished among the unit flags and terrain growth.

This is a great adjustment of the townscreen, and also shows how townscreens could be adjusted by terrain in a great way (miss that feature from Heroes IV, altough the way to implement it wasn't polished, it was really a great push to immersion and diversity to have different terrain looks for the same town)

if the other sizes are increased maybe the units will not look so tiny on the battle screen. True. But proportions must be kept so cabir (core unit) is not as big as the Rakasha.

If you don't know it, there is a limited amount od upvotes you can get. If you don't want to up my vote, of course you don't have to, but they were made to allow players to agree with each other and to show our "dear" devs, what we want. Levelling and so on is oblý additional bonus and for most players including me are not so important.

Yeah, I mean smaller cabir as regards proportions. To make the other units bigger will help of course too. The main idea is, as mediczero had actually posted, to have tiny, cute cabir, no golem-cabir monstrum.

Please take note that in those screenshots:
- We didn’t used default camera angle & high to allow a better overview of environments
- Armies were set randomly and this is an example of big battlegrounds but we have of course a lot of smaller ones (and mediums, and tiny and giant etc.)
- Creatures/Heroes/Items scales are not final at all
- There are glitches and work in progress assets

It seems on the battlefield, there is free room to deploy your units vertically even with 8 creatures.

As you say this is big, and that there are tiny battle maps, is it possible that some are too small to be able to deploy your whole army? That could lead to interesting setups if so

Nice:

- landscapes, especially white mountains

Bad:

- proportions of creatures and buildings - giants with dollhouses
- the low quality of textures ( trees, some units on the map)
- the "empty places feeling"
- colours: I like the mature look but it's a little bit "too grey"
- reusing H6 buildings models
- THIS townscreen AGAIN?!

Actually, lighting is improving, and I expect we will get more improvement as we get close to release. Now buildings start to look good, but background needs to be improved to match them.

If they get somewere near this, i will be happy (thanks Galaadlehaut)

To fix the scale on combat units I'd suggest:
Academy:
1. Make Cabir same height/size as gargoyles body
2. Increase rakshasa size by about 20-25%
3. Increase djinn size by 10%
Haven:
4. Make archer less bulky(it looks like badass melee for whom some idiot gave crossbow!)
5. Increase Justicar by 10-15%
6. Lose 5% from sentinel
7. Chaplain 10% increase

After that the models should start looking more natural in relation to each other(and can be scaled together afterwards, not individually)

@Galaad it's much more reasonable to scale them first to be in in relation to each other as I said. After that you can change them all together making same change to everything. It's much harder to change every unit individually to bigger and have them look natural in relation to each other.

They won't it appears a group of old, grumpy, and apparently always angry NWC Heroes fans doesn't like anything 3D (because they still lived in the past, so everything not Heroes 3 is bad and causing them to always angry) and Developers (Or Ubi) take that a little more serious than we thought. Nevertheless, new engine and an epic 3D actually something I would consider a huge step forward but oh well, at least the adventure maps are beautiful (IMHO).

Wich is actually a baseless assumption on thier part. The same with not giving enough time and resources cause they think the fanbase is too small. Well the Heroes franchise has never been advertised that well. Especially if you compare it with other games that Ubisoft sells. Heck i think even Rayman is more well known then the Heroes franchise. Also it looks like a lot of ppl had forgotten about the Heroes franchise and H3HD brought some of them back (atleast made them interrested again).

Yes, they are not going to make 3D towns. I agree they looked great in H5, and I'd like to see them back again, but it's not going to happen. What NEEDS to happen, at least, is honest effort put toward quality 2D towns that have a consistent art with the rest of the game.
