These are major issues and it is at least strange that these have only been discovered on the day the beta would be released. Still I feel that a good beta should last way more than 2 weeks and that there is not even a small chance to deliver a finished game in September already. Please postpone it to avoid real disappointment for a lot of players and to get a better game...

Every time you change a small thing in a game code, you might create big issues that you can’t anticipate. That is the reason why we do tests and unfortunately we didn’t anticipated enough for the beta because we wanted to fix a last few things (but it create new ones thus :(). However, this is a totally different process for final version of the game which will be tested and validated long before the launch (we have no choice for this - so this is not only words ;))

Understood, your final comment underlines my request and urgency to postpone the release of the game. Fixing an already released game is a nightmare or will cost a fortune.

@ fopkovic1 : this is very hard to explain to top management. Budget is until september, if it wont get done then development cost will increase. I wonder what kind of contract does limbic have with ubi in this scenario. Will ubi keep financing development? Or will it be as with black hole - that development will be actually all at cost of limbic which will get bankrupt eventually.

That is what I fear as well, that they HAVE to deliver a final product in September. Would be a shame, because I see a lot of potential in this game. It's just not finished in 3 or 4 months from now...

He´s totally right - we have to wait 4 months anyway before the game is finally released.

First off, I do not blame the devs for choosing to delay the beta. That is just how things are in a development phase....
A "Beta" is after all a "pre-release" of a product. If you want to play a faulty game, apply for Alpha tasting.... It is fun but BUGGY!!!!
I have an idea that people expect betas to be like a demo of a game, it just aint....
Do not get your hopes too much up... It is after all a pre-release we are waiting for... I LOVE the series, BIG FAN, and i know the devs working hard!

Looking how much support my position comment'd gotten I have to say that I didn't expect such. Espacially with it's grammar flow (edit button plz).
It really proves that even when everything that is not hatefull is flooded by spam there are still people who care about this game enough to cooparate and support rather than attack devs for whatever they do.
Thank you for keeping main and devs faith in this community alive.

Sigh. You should read a bit better, but most ppl don't have a problem with beta delay and bugs. But with how Ubisoft has been handling things. And yes this has been going on for years and isn't only affecting the Heroes franchise. Yes there are some ppl who blame the dev, but don't know that it is Ubisofts to blame. And just because i am unhappy with how things are going, doesn't mean i don't care about this game and the Heroes franchise.
I believe it is thier side that has to cooperate with us,

@RobvD84: Sorry I haven't rząd comments for quite some time. I was very busy and thought that this revolution joke was still going on. I understand what you have against Ubi but the way you explain it gives me no clue what you want them to change. Again I mean Ubi the publisher not Limbic the dev so no matter of games content counts.
Your way of doing things is to chaotic for me.

Well right now most ppl are upset how the communication was handled (and this is something that Ubi has been doing horrible for years). Some ppl made free time for the launch of the beta and waited for hours without any info at all. Also i believe they could have given us a note about the problems they found before the weekend (since beta launch was on monday and the problems were discovered before the weekend).

Anyway i think it is good that they finally admit they made mistakes and try to do good and set it straight. I hope they continue to improve on things and not just continue thier old ways after everything has calmed down.

Actually, mad props to this team. They are quite transparent with detailed reports on their issues and probable ETAS. I like this, treating your customers like reasonable adults by explaining your process and being forthcoming with detailed information. Wish more companies would behave in this manner. I absolutely detest "its ready, when its ready." .Im not a child, give me your internal ETA. If your cant meat it for valid reasons, im perfectly fine with that. Its just that - an estimate.

Well, I have no beta access myself, and I prefer waiting one more month than experiencing major bugs with a software, so maybe I am biased. But I am very conflicted with the way the team communicate with the fans
I agree with you, I vastly prefer to be treated like an adult, with clear and direct explanations about the situation. That is to be saluted, that message is a good way to deal with the issue.
In general, and even if it is meant as an ad for the franchise, the idea of votes is cool too

But I am aware that this communication is crisis one. We had a different tune before the problem blow up, and transparency was at that moment not their politic.
I deeply regret that this site has not the minimum amount of work done to communicate correctly to the fans. News infos are not reported in the different tabs, lot of bugs, forum is a joke, no moderation at start,...
I don't understand why there is no skill article yet. Give fans a bone to chew while waiting! So simple yet not done...

It is because of that issue with the beta that an effort should be made with communication too.
While the dev are debugging the software, the people handling the public relation should also be on crisis mode and give fans something to do / read about.
I can't believe it has been one week since the last interesting article. Not even a place for "beta tester" was set up to share their opinion with other fans. What were the others supposed to do?
