As good are might heroes models as bad are magic ones. There's just too many different things on them. Their eyes are covered with teeth. And I don't understen why they need them. If this canines would be placed upper so heroes would look from under them it would be much better. It seems that yet it's only one bad thing from Stronghold.

Probably it is intentional. They are shamans, so they should have a magical sense. They don't need to see enemies for kill them. It makes the shamans more scary and no one won't try to get behind them because they know that someone is behind and it's impossible to make suprise attack.

Of course, loosing eye-sight sometimes opens you up for 'inner sight'. Could be valuable for a magician. But I expect that with dark elves, not with barbarians. Barbarians without eyes, ears and agility don't make sense. Same for the might hero veil: no barbarian trait.

I have no problem with recycling names. HoMM VII plays a couple of years later than HoMM VI, so it would be consistent to use the same names.

Ah, that's further apart than I thought.
So all factions should resemble both HoMM VI and V, if you value consistency (like I do). Ergo: ditch the excess ironworks. Bones aplenty in HoMM VI and V, so they should stay. But their placement on a hero should be more practical. HoMM V heroes have plenty body paint and feather stuff, that should give lots of opportunities to be creative.

Well I'd say Shaman is just too boring. Storm caller and Earth Shaper are quite unique and lore inspired, but I'd took that chance to call a balanced hero something else.

That's the effect of re-working H6 models. They look like werid Indians, not real orcs. The names of the classes are exactly the same.

They are blind as a bat. All orcs have eyes uncovered and these two douches put some werid stuff on their head/eyes so they cannot see anything. No logic at all. Stupid.

+1. I loved the H5 orcs concept as melee-faction. But in current concept we have H3 system and when all other factions will have both might and magic heroes, orcs are obliged to have them too.

Эх, а в четверке Стронгхолд - единственная фракция, которая давала только героев-воинов. Это правда не значило, что варвары в принципе не могут в магию, но в родном городе ее не изучить).

Агар, ну лучше бы они не могли в магию всё-таки, имхо. Но это требует деления фракций по принципу 1,2,(4),5 частей, где у каждой фракции был уклон или в магию, или в силу.

у них была магия крови -идеально реализованная в 5Н,и там были юниты владеющие низшей магией (типа шаманов) -что то же очень в духе орков)).Зато магия крови и кличи с лихвой это компенсировали -один только "гнев орды" чего стоил )),а магия крови -позволяла дажее без потерь проходить сражения.так что я уже и раньше писал -или тут все будет криво очень,или будет имбовая фраккция,да еще с героями-магами..

That is not a freaking mask, that is something silly and stupid. Look for African (tribal) masks and that is already better then what they have done. I am not a fan of something covering the faces, but if it is a mask i would not mind it. Ofcourse it should stay simple.

Just curious; if you have faction-specific building to boost diplomacy, how come none of the heroes have that as skill? (Note I don't see diplomacy-building suiting for orcs personally, but cheap copy/paste mechanic from haven)

@xzloth01: Because the orcs themselves were slaves once, but they revolted and won their freedom. It is therefore very ironic that they of all factions are the ones with a slave market in their town. I never thought about it that way, but as Sligneris says, it makes no sense.

That would be a very good start... After that you should edit the helmets (the horns are too huge) and the visual deception... The idea of a "blind" heroe is cool, but then with a real eye bandage... (I personally prefer heroes, which can see..., but why not??)

I actually like the covered eyes - it makes a change from the covered mouths everyone else seems to have, and to me at least invokes a feeling that the shaman relies on a sort of "spirit sight" rather than earthly senses
